Computer: Changing File Extension in Windows

Sometimes your may have an extension not supported by what you want to use it for e.g may be you are in a place where the only supported file format is ".png" and you have ".jpg" file. You don't need any file format converter or image editor, all you need to do is to change your file Extension.


There was a time a needed to import a file online and the only supported format is ".csv" or ".xls". But I was having a ".txt". The only thing I did was to change the file extension to ".csv". There are many more reasons you may need to change file extension.
